Dr. Allison Chute
I am a May 2020 graduate from Ross University, in St-Kitts and Nevis. During my time on the island I got to experience working with many different animals and even completed a certificate in Marine Animal Medicine. I completed my vet school journey doing my clinical year at University College Dublin. I also have a Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Honours in Animal Biology from the University of Guelph. While at Guelph I also played for the varsity field hockey team. It is with this team that I have some of my best memories from undergrad. I am originally from a small town outside Montreal called Greenfield Park and moved to Kingston soon after graduating from vet school in order to take a job here at KVC. I am also a Level 2 Certified Fear Free Professional. This helps us to learn how to approach and handle animals that may be scared and/or nervous when they come to the vet clinic.
On weekends I enjoy playing golf, hanging out with family and friends, reading and going on walks around the neighbourhood. I currently don’t have any fur babies, but once I’m settled into this new role I’m sure a pet won’t be far away!
