A few extra pounds can be a significant factor in the overall health of your pet. Most weight problems can be avoided or managed through proper feeding amounts and/or diet types. A large part of it really is portion control!

It’s important to not focus so much on the number on the scale as it is to consider the Body Condition Score (BCS) of your pet. We use a 5 scale, where 3/5 is considered ideal and healthy. You should be able to see a bit of a waist on your pet.

Together, we can develop a weight loss program to help your pet achieve a healthy weight and ultimately live a better life!
